Hi everyone. I am an AGPCNP in a post MSN-DNP program in the final year of my capstone. I am in search of some willing and able (approximately 10-15) primary care nurse practitioners to take part in my capstone, no personal information will be collected. It is a brief pretest on assessing depression in primary care, followed by a brief Powerpoint presentation, and is completed by a posttest to assess the intervention. I will accept anyone willing to complete this and it does not need to represent a large group. Unfortunately, compensation cannot be offered.

Kind regards,

Jeremy

Searching for Family Nurse Practitioner Preceptors

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha Sells, and I am a primary family nurse practitioner student with Purdue University Global searching for passionate and eager preceptors in the areas of family/lifespan, pediatric/adolescent, and women's health.

I graduated from Ball State University (Muncie, Indiana) with a BSN in 2016. Shortly after, my husband’s career as an Air Force pilot moved us to southern New Jersey where I have worked on a med-surg dialysis unit at Virtua Health for over two years. Despite loving my job, I have always known that the family nurse practitioner position fit my personality and career goals best. Above all, I believe the current health care experience is a deeply impersonal and unpleasant one for patients. As an FNP, I look forward to forming strong relationships with patients and supporting them through their lifelong health journeys.

Although I live in NJ, I will be completing clinicals in the eastern Pennsylvania area. Each rotation will span 10 weeks and 160 completed clinical hours with a qualified preceptor. The clinical rotation dates are as follows:

Family/Lifespan: 9/8/19 - 11/26/19 OR 5/13/20 - 7/21/20

Women's: 12/4/19 - 2/18/20

Pediatric/Adolescent: 2/26/20 - 5/5/20

If you or anyone you know would be interested, please feel free to contact me by phone or email! Thank you in advance for helping me pursue my dream of becoming a primary family nurse practitioner.

Thank you!
