PMHNP preceptor for psychotherapy

Hello!

I'm currently a student in Walden University's PMHNP DNP program. I'm searching for a PMHNP to precept me for my upcoming clinical rotation in psychotherapy beginning May 26th. For this practicum I'm required to complete 160 hours over the course of 10 weeks. I must see patients across the life span in individual, family, and group sessions. To meet the required 160 hours, I am looking to complete 2 8-hour clinical days per week. If a singular preceptor is unable to meet all of the requirements, I am permitted to utilize multiple preceptors for the practicum. My preceptor must provide psychotherapy as a primary form of treatment as I cannot count time spent with medication management towards my hours. I'm located in Greensburg, PA and am licensed to practice in PA and WV.

I have over 5 years of experience practicing as an RN in the specialty of psychiatric mental health. The majority of my experience comes from working on inpatient adult units through various hospitals. I'm currently employed through Westmoreland Behavioral Health and have completed 2 clinicals (in leadership and psychopathology/diagnostic reasoning) thus far in my program. In spring of 2024 I also became certified in motivational interviewing, which I used to create a staff education program for the nurses at my job as a focus of my DNP project. My days and times of availability are flexible. I just ask that I complete the 2 clinical days per week on consecutive days as I am a night shifter. If you have the availability to precept me, or suggestions for practices/practitioners I should reach out to, I would love to hear from you!

Thank you for your consideration,

Rachel Nardi

I have extensive experience in the clinical setting and have already completed 461 hours toward my graduate degree (243 women's health and 218 primary care). I am hoping that you can help me, as I've been trying to find a preceptor for over 6 months. I truly appreciate your time!

Hello! I just started my FNP program at Duquesne University. I am just getting a head start looking around for possible preceptors in the Pittsburgh area. I will be starting <g class="gr_ gr_253 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling" id="253" data-gr-id="253">clinicals</g> January 2020 and I will be doing family practice/urgent care/internal medicine rotation. I know I am searching really early, but I understand that it's better to start early to be able to get contracts. I currently work at Shadyside Hospital in the MSICU. I will be attending meetings when they are listed for the PA coalition of NPs. I can't wait to be able to meet everyone and be able to learn from current NPs and future NPs.

Hi everyone,

My name is Britanni King and I'm a nurse practitioner student at Duquense University. I need help to find a OBGYN preceptor for this coming fall and pediatrics for the Spring of 2020. I only need 75 hours of OB clinical. I had a preceptor lined up but at the last minute they said they were no longer accepting students. I am willing to travel up to 1.5 hours. I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA.

As for pediatrics, I would need 150 hours, again, I am willing to travel. This rotation would start in the Spring of 2020.

If anyone would be willing to precept me or have any recommendations please reach out to me.

My email is: britbsn@yahoo.com
Cell: 7249729190

Thank you so much in advance!
