I am a FNP student at Widener University and am looking for a preceptor for my 3 clinical semesters. So far for summer 2019 I have had a hard time finding a preceptor. Most of the offices I have called work with an organization such as Wellspan, Penn Medicine, UPMC, etc and take their employees first. Since I do not work for one of these organizations, I have had no luck in finding a preceptor.

Does anyone know of any privately owned practices in the Lancaster/York/Lebanon/Reading area? I currently am in need of 112 hours in family practice for summer 2019.

Brandi, I am in the same boat. I am 2 semesters out from graduation and I have had to do all of my clinical time down in MD. I am with Simmons University, and even my placement person is having a hard time placing me around here (Lancaster). I even work for Penn Medicine but I can not use any of their sites as they want monthly on-site evaluations... If I find anything I will let you know and if you find anything let me know too! best of luck!!! Justin Rohrback jlrohrback@pacollege.edu

I truly think that online programs have the worst time getting preceptors when there are local universities that get more of a priority of getting people in with preceptors. Furthermore, if people are new to organizations they are not allowed to precept the first year in many places. Sorry you are going through this.
