The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued an alert concerning an extortion scam that targets DEA registrants. In an email to DEA registrants sent on April 2, 2018, the DEA said that individuals are receiving telephone calls and emails from criminals who identify themselves as DEA employees or other law enforcement personnel. The criminals are masking their telephone number by showing the DEA Registration Support toll-free number. Read more on what to do if you were targeted by scam.
